Prenatal Yoga

In the Prenatal Yoga classes at Birth Matters!, we teach yoga exercises and breathing techniques that help prepare you for the marathon of labor and birth.  Practicing yoga during pregnancy helps to strengthen and stretch muscles, improve balance, release tension and maintain good posture. In addition, these postures can help alleviate and prevent some of the usual aches and pains of pregnancy.  This class is open to all expecting women.  No previous yoga experience necessary.
8 sessions, 1 hour each, 5:30 - 6:30 pm,  $105

You may start classes at any time and the cost of the series will be prorated.  However, to do so you must pay for the classes at the studio rather than online.  Also, please call ahead to make certain there is room in the class.  Drop-in classes are $15.00--don't forget to call ahead.

"Mom and Me" Postnatal Yoga

"Mom and Me" Postnatal Yoga classes focus on specific yoga postures that are beneficial to the stresses and strains that new moms are exposed to. The postures will assist in strengthening the back, abdominal, and pelvic floor muscles - all areas that are affected during pregnancy. Another benefit of postnatal yoga is that you can bond with your baby while making time for yourself.  Although targeted to the postnatal mom, "Mom and Me" Postnatal Yoga classes are open to anyone who wants to build strength and flexibility while connecting with baby; including dad, grandma, baby-sitter, etc.  No previous yoga experience necessary.
