Breastfeeding Basics

Breastfeeding is like learning to dance…a new partner…some new steps, positions, and rhythms…maybe overcoming some awkward first moments.  But once established, nursing a baby is easy, convenient, and economical.  There are amazing benefits to the mother, baby and family…even our society.  This class is all about getting started, an “everything you wanted to know about nursing a baby but were afraid to ask” class.  Expectant moms and their partners, and grandparents are encouraged to join us anytime before your due date.

1 session, 2 ½ hours, 6:30pm - 9:00 pm,  $25.00 per family.

Breastfeeding Beyond

So you’ve made a commitment to breastfeed.  After all, just about every medical authority recommends breastfeeding for the first year of your baby’s life.  But how does that fit into YOUR life?  Are you going back to work, school, or an active outside-the-home life?  Are you concerned about being ‘tied down’?  This class takes a look at all your options and helps you make a plan for your life as a nursing mother.  As always, partners and grandparents are welcome.  You can take this class before or AFTER your baby is born (please bring them with you).

1 session, 2 hours,  7:00 pm - 9:00 pm, $25.00 per family.
